Food Labelling Project Manager
Reporting to the President, the Project Manager plays a key role in our business. His main responsibility is to provide expert advisory service to ACC Label’s clientele, including regulatory, nutritional and linguistic analyses of food labels. The Project Manager is expected to handle client projects from the first contacts up to the billing and subsequent follow-up. He tends to client needs and responds professionally within reasonable delays. His duties include:
- Respond promptly to client requests and anticipate their needs with a service approach;
- Prepare proposals and follow-up within a few days;
- Pay attention to all label elements and verify their compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Research regulatory requirements and advise clients accordingly;
- Contact clients or their suppliers to obtain missing information or to advise them of specific issues;
- Report findings with detail (in French or in English, depending on client), using appropriate wording, especially when terms are prescribed by regulation;
- Perform nutritional analyses, interpret results and advise clients accordingly;
- Participate in ACC Label’s Quality Control Review Committee;
- Invoice clients for services and follow-up if necessary;
- Carry out client satisfaction follow-ups;
- Actively participate in team meetings;
- Keep abreast of changes and trends in the food industry;
- Maintain good relations with co-workers, clientele, potential clientele and suppliers;
- Contribute to the firm’s visibility by actively participating in various exhibitions such as the SIAL or others.
Selection Criteria
- Member of the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec or hold a bachelor degree in food science
- Proficient in French and English (oral and written)
- Marked interest for work requiring keen observation skills and great attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong interest for regulatory affairs
- experience in food labelling is an asset
